    Gargalos | Vicara

    Gargalos is a collection of blown glass vases, designed by Brazilian designers Brunno Jahara and Patricia Bagniewski. ‘Gargalos’ means bottlenecks in Portuguese, because the main goal was to find something that would play with and benefit from the original shape of reused wine bottles. Made in true colored glass, in Portugal, each vase serves not only as a vase for plants, but it is also possible to take advantage of the characteristic shape of the bottleneck to carry out seed germination processes.

    Cerne | Vicara

    Cerne – meaning the tree’s heartwood – is the name of this glassware set composed of two glasses and one bottle, which comes with an elegant carob wood and cork lid. Designed by Samuel Reis and handmade in Portugal, Cerne comes into shape by blowing glass into hollow carob tree trunk moulds. The designer used this essential component of the tree as a mold for glass blowing, creating a glassware with a very strong character and a profound connection to Nature. Because of its production process, every set is slightly different in its shape and details. A definite mark of its authenticity.

    Caruma is a collection of vases designed and handmade by Eneida Lombe Tavares, demonstrating the possible relationship between two different processes – ceramics and basketry. On the one hand, the ceramics, which has a very strong tradition in Portugal, and on the other, the Angolan basketry – where part of Eneida’s roots come from – particularly the sewed coiling technique. This product is intended as an intercultural dialogue that mixes closeness to distance.

Pyrolysis is available in two colors and sizes. The original version in black, is achieved during the process of burning the wood – which gives it not only the color, but also preserves the wood. It features bright colours and amicable characters.
